Gainsborough and St Peter’s Poppy Cascade, Sudbury Suffolk 2018.
I painted Gainsborough & St Peter’s Poppy Cascade when our local church had been covered with over 23,000 poppies, which had been handmade by local people. To mark the 100th anniversary of WW1 Armistice day. The painting also features the statue of Sir Thomas Gainsborough who stands proudly in front of the church as Sudbury was his hometown.
The image size of this print is 35.4cm x 23.7 cm (14 x 9.25 approx) portrait. There will be a white border around the image making the overall paper size slightly larger. Each print is signed, numbered, and titled below the image.
Printed on 310gsm Hahnemühle German Etching archival quality paper with long-lasting, anti-fade inks. This heavyweight paper provides a beautifully textured, soft finish that has the look and feel of the original watercolour.
