How to Commission an Artwork.
If you are interested in commissioning an artwork, please email your request, to caryn@carynnoadart.com.
Include as much detail as possible of your requirements. Add photographs if applicable, plus reference any works you have seen on my website that you feel are relevant. Also, at this stage, please let me know if the artwork is required by a specific date.
Once I have considered your request I will let you know asap, whether I can accept the commission. I will then provide you with a quote. If you are happy with the quote, we can discuss and finalise your requirements. I will then issue you an invoice including relevant details from our discussion. 50% of the cost would be due in advance and the remainder on completion, before delivery.
Estimated delivery times and costs will be included on the invoice.
If you are providing photographs that you would like me to work from, please make sure they are as good a quality as possible.
Framing
Large artworks will generally be delivered unframed as shipping framed items with glass is quite risky and prone to damage. It is also much more expensive. We can discuss framing for smaller artworks or for artworks being delivered locally.
Local bespoke framers can are generally very helpful and knowledgeable and can advise you on how to frame the artwork to its best advantage. You can read tips on hanging and framing here.
Please bear in mind the time you will need to have the artwork framed if you have a deadline or if it is for a gift.
Returns
Unfortunately, I can’t accept returns of commissioned works. However, I do send an initial sketch and a digital image of the finished painting before delivery. So at these stages, if you are not happy with the image, we can discuss it and try to resolve any issues.
